SOUTH WHITLEY — Attention, students! Spring break has been canceled. April Fools!

Children can celebrate April Fools’ day and Spring Break this year at South Whitley Community Public Library. The library starts the fun with zany snacks and silly games at its April Fools’ party at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1. Then Spring Break week kicks off Monday with a different activity at 1 p.m. each day through Thursday.

On Monday, it’s spring break cinema as the library shows Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The movie tells the tale of Newt Scamander, a writer in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards. The story takes place 70 years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.

Tuesday is family bingo day. All ages are welcome to play for fun and prizes.

Wednesday is an Open Makerspace event. Drop in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. and explore the wide variety of makerspace items the library has. Children can play with a 3-D pen, snap circuits and robots just to have fun.

On Thursday, the library will be offering its extensive LEGO collection to create anything of your choosing.
