COLUMBIA CITY – Columbia City’s golf team defeated Huntington North 170-191 last week.

The Eagles (4-0) were led by Spencer McCammon with 41 strokes, Nick Decker with 41, Zach Harker at 43, Garrett Roehling with 44 and Lawson Hahn had 53 points.

“We got off to a slow start, but they got going. Finishing fourth out of that many was big for us. We had a good showing. Hopefully we continue to playing well, we do have a difficult schedule coming.”

Eagles place fourth at Concordia Invite

FORT WAYNE – Columbia City’s golf team earned fourth place out of 18 schools on Saturday at an invitational at Foster Park hosted by Concordia.

The only teams that edged the Eagles were first-place Bishop Dwenger, Carroll and Bishop Luers.

Nick Decker led Columbia City with a 75 and a fourth-place finish out of 88 golfers, Spencer McCammon also scored well with a 78, Zach Harker scored an 83, Garrett Roehling got an 88 and Lawson Hahn had 92 strokes. Decker got fourth place out of 88 golfers. Hahn, McCammon and Decker all recorded birdies.
