CHURUBUSCO — Two people are dead following a car crash on Saturday, Nov. 17, according to the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a news release by the sheriff’s department, just after 12:30 a.m., the vehicle was traveling westbound on C.R. 150N at a “high rate of speed.” The vehicle reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of C.R. 150N and Johnson Road before leaving the roadway and striking a tree.

Heather Jackson, 33, and Kenneth Baker, 28, both from Fort Wayne, were both found dead at the scene of the crash.

The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident in collaboration with the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
