COLUMBIA CITY — Private pesticide applicators can gain information about weed management and adjuvants at the Private Applicator Recertification Program, sponsored by Purdue Extension in Whitley County on March 25.

Purdue experts William Johnson, Purdue weed specialist, and Fred Whitford, Purdue Pesticide Programs Coordinator, will be on-hand to provide the training. Johnson’s talk is a weed management update, and Whitford will speak on adjuvants and the power of the spray droplet. Additionally, local Extension Educator, John Woodmansee, will provide an update of the DriftWatch website.

The program will be held at the Whitley County 4-H Center, 680 W. Squawbuck Road, Columbia City. Registration will begin at 1 p.m., and the program will begin at 1:30 p.m. The program is slated to conclude by 3:45 p.m. Those who need PARP credit will be required to pay the standard $10 PARP fee.
