COLUMBIA CITY — The Whitley County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center is pleased to announce that State Senator Andy Zay, State Representative Christopher Judy and State Representative David Abbott are expected to be in attendance for the 2019 Whitley County EXPO and will host a Chamber Legislative Update this Saturday, March 9 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Carver Center at Indian Springs Middle School, kicking off the 2019 Whitley County EXPO.
The Chamber Legislative Update is sponsored by NIPSCO and the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana.
“By bringing our elected officials to present during this important community-wide event, we are offering yet another opportunity for our citizens to engage, first hand, with their elected officials,” said Jennifer Romano, executive director of the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center. “This provides an outstanding opportunity for residents and local leaders to hear what’s happening in State government and share their concerns about important issues that impact them.”
This event is the second of it’s kind in the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center’s 2019 Chamber Legislative Update series. Attendance is anticipated to exceed 2400 people during the annual event.
The 2019 Whitley County EXPO will be held Saturday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Indian Springs Middle School. There is no cost to attend and ample free parking is available.
