COLUMBIA CITY — As of Jan. 1, 2005, all retail food establishments in Indiana must have at least one certified food handler in their employment. In order to help meet the requirement, Purdue Extension – Whitley County is offering a ServSafe Food Manager training class and certification exam.

The class is May 9-10, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Whitley County Extension Office, 115 S. Line St., Columbia City. The exam will be held May 16 at 9 a.m. in the same location. Register at purdue.edu/servsafe.
