COLUMBIA CITY — The Whitley County Council on Aging is planning a new location for this year’s Senior Health Fair, slated for Friday, Oct. 4, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

This year’s fair will be held at the Whitley County 4-H Center, 680 W. Squawbuck Road, Columbia City. The theme is “Livin’ Lively,” and is intended to stress a healthy, happy, holistic lifestyle for senior citizens.

“Our current location is almost at capacity, and this new venue will allow us to expand and add some exciting new aspects to our fair,” Becky Salaway said. “It also addresses issues we had with parking and noise. We think it will allow us to provide some new programming for the fair and better serve our seniors.

“We think this location is also going to be better for our sponsors and vendors, since it is larger and easily recognizable.”

Organizations or businesses that would like to either sponsor part of the fair or would like to have a booth may call 260-248-8944 and speak with either Darlene or Nancy.
